EIQ Inventory
Begin with a guided inventory to help you notice emotional patterns and bring them to Christ.
EIQ Inventory
An inventory helps you notice what you feel, when it shows up, and how you عادة respond. In a devotional rhythm, that honesty matters because it gives you a clear place to bring your heart before Christ instead of leaving emotions unexamined.
Lord, give me honesty and peace as I look at my emotional patterns. Help me see what is true, and lead me to respond to You with trust.
Inventory Guide
Identify the time frame
Choose a recent window to reflect on, such as today, this week, or the past month. A shorter time frame makes the inventory more concrete and easier to remember.
Name recurring emotions
Write down the emotions that show up most often. Look for patterns such as anxiety, frustration, sadness, shame, gratitude, or hope.
Note triggers
Record what tends to stir those emotions. A trigger might be a conversation, a delay, a conflict, a memory, or a specific setting.
Track your typical response
Describe what you usually do next. You may withdraw, overexplain, get busy, become silent, or seek comfort in familiar habits.
Bring it to God with honesty
Pray over what you found and tell God the truth about it. Ask Him to reveal what needs healing, strengthen what is good, and shape your response with grace.
Journaling Prompts
What keeps showing up?
What emotions have repeated most often in this season?
What tends to trigger me?
Which situations, words, or pressures bring the strongest reaction?
How do I usually respond?
What do I do first when those feelings rise?
